We're sabermetrically-inclined, meaning we rarely cite pitchers' win-loss records, or hitters' RBI totals (because those are generally inefficient metrics for evaluating players). Instead, you'll often see us using statistics like FIP, ERA+, and wins above replacement, which sound a lot more complicated than they actually are. For reference, we've included a page (entitled "Reference") on the blog with links to various stat glossaries.
It sounds cliché and all, but the ultimate goal with the blog is just to have fun. After all, we're all just Giants fans.
