White Sox Claim Waldis Joaquin

Earlier today, the White Sox claimed Giants reliever Waldis Joaquin off of waivers (the Giants put him on release waivers several days ago). In AAA this year, he had a 4.93 ERA with a WHIP of 1.90...his problem was his ridiculous lack of control -- a 5.7 BB/9...he had a decent K/9 of 8.6, but also gave up too many hits. It's amazing to think that he was on the opening day roster, but after a disappointing season, is gone. I still think he had a little bit of trade value -- he could be a solid reliever if he finds control.
