Jonathan Sanchez pitched pretty well (with some luck on balls in play), and Sergio Romo threw his weekly eight pitches (good ones, as usual).
Guillermo Mota pitched the ninth inning of a tied game, because:
- He's better than Sergio Romo? (Which isn't true.)
- He's better than a tired Sergio Romo? Because Sergio Romo's arm is done after eight pitches? (Which isn't true).
On a more positive note, Freddy Sanchez is at 999 career hits. 1000 isn't a particularly rare milestone (over 1000 players have reached it). In any event, amid all of the injuries around him, he's managed to stay in the lineup and has been quietly putting together yet another solid season at second base. Easily worth the $6MM he's getting paid this year.

On another note, MLB.com has finally made its videos (its old ones, that is) embeddable.
Awesome.
