Game Recap: Cubs 2, Giants 1

Things that sucked about this game:
  • The Giants' offense. Wow. Five hits (though at least three of them went for extra bases). One run. Zero unintentional walks.
  • The fact that a perfectly awesome Tim Lincecum start was wasted: of the 27 batters he faced, he struck out nine of them, allowing just five hits, two walks, and one run.
  • Ryan Dempster. That was just the third time in his career that he's gone 8+ innings without allowing a walk...and it took him only 83 pitches.
  • The fact that some people will inevitably blame Sergio Romo for this loss.

Anyway, I'll offer up this potentially controversial thought:

You know what? Sergio Romo is better than Brian Wilson. I'll continue to believe so until I'm given a compelling reason to believe otherwiseThu Jun 30 03:36:41 via TweetDeck
