The depressed run-scoring environment has rendered side-by-side comparisons of batting average, on-base percentage, and slugging percentage from different seasons useless, but I'll give you this --
2009 Giants: 81 wRC+
2011 Giants: 82 wRC+
If you think things will get significantly better, well, you're probably wrong. But I admire your optimism.
On the other hand, the 2011 Giants have a much better pitching staff (rotation and bullpen), and that will have to be what carries them to another postseason berth.
