Notes

These are by no means worthy of individual posts, so here goes...

  • Kirk Rueter, who's on the Hall of Fame ballot, compiled 818 strikeouts in his 13-year career. Tim Lincecum has already surpassed that total. It's kind of amazing.
  • Ross of Ross and the Heckler Speak is currently working on developing a SABR-based Hall of Fame. His first post is already up.
  • To give insight into the Los Angeles Dodgers, who I believe will be the Giants' toughest intra-divisional competition in 2011, I've asked Mike Petriello of Mike Scioscia's Tragic Illness, a fantastic Dodgers blog, ten questions about the Dodgers. I'll probably post the Ten Questions Q&A later this week, so you can look forward to that.
  • Kenley Jansen's ERA+ scares me...
