- Jeff Suppan is gone. When we acquired him, I said the following: "I hope he never has to start a game for the Giants." Hey, I guess I got my wish.
- Brian Wilson will start the season on the disabled list. I'm hoping Sergio Romo does most of the closing while Wilson's out.
- Lastly, it is still unknown whether or not Brandon Belt will start in the majors.

Still, [Conor Gillaspie]’s only struck out in 14.2% of his minor league at-bats and has walked in 8.9% of plate appearances. Really, the thing that he hasn’t shown is power. But, at only 23, it’s entirely possible that his power could arrive — and that his AFL performance is an indication of that.
