I think, given regular playing time, there's a good chance Nate could be an average outfielder -- perhaps above average. Andres Torres and Cody Ross have two spots secured, but with Pat Burrell struggling at the plate (and a defensive liability), and Aaron Rowand being Aaron Rowand, Nate deserves a shot at a starting outfield spot.
- Nate won this game for the Giants today: 66.4% win probability added. Wow.
- On another note, Brandon Crawford had yet another good game at the plate, going 2 for 6 with one K. He's had only one K in 21 PAs thus far. I'm cautiously optimistic, but the cautiously can't be stressed enough. Anybody can do anything over the course of 20 -- even 60 PAs.
- I hope Crawford can continue to be decent. Because it's painfully apparent that Miguel Tejada, who failed to reach base (19th game this season) in six PAs, is no longer a major-league hitter. I'd be surprised -- nay, appalled -- to see that worthless player on the roster come July.
- Tim Lincecum pitched really well (9 K, 0 BB), though luck wasn't really on his side...BABIP -- .500
- With Pablo Sandoval set to return soon, the Giants might just be able to start scoring some more runs. That'd be nice.
