BBA Day

As some of you may know, I am a member of the Baseball Bloggers Alliance, and a pretty active member, actually. Since joining, I have had the opportunity to appear on This Call to the Bullpen twice (a great radio show hosted by Steve Keane of the Eddie Kranepool Society), BBA Baseball Talk once, and I've been able to communicate with over 200 writers of baseball blogs about all teams and aspects of baseball.

One of the big things I did with the BBA was to help them develop their iPhone and Android apps. I collected RSS feeds from over 70 blogs from different BBA members that were interested, and I sent the list and information to Notice Software, who developed the app for free. The app is now available in the iPhone store for free, and I am glad to have been a part of making it happen. If you have an iPhone, you should download it.

I am very happy that this organization exists, as it has given me the ability to communicate with hundreds of witty and thoughtful baseball bloggers. I can't wait to see what opportunities it provides in the future...

Baseball Bloggers Alliance Android and iPhone App

A couple of months ago, NoticeOrange helped me develop the SplashingPumpkins Android app. They did so for free, and I have been very pleased with it.

A few weeks ago, they announced that they were starting to get network apps together, apps consisting of a network of blogs. As a member of the Baseball Bloggers Alliance, I thought it would be a great idea to organize a BBA network app. And so I did. I collected 77 RSS feeds from interested members in the BBA, and gave all of the information to NoticeOrange.

Today, NoticeOrange released the Baseball Bloggers Alliance iPhone app (the Android app will be out very soon...), and once again, I am very pleased.
