Vin Mazzaro Traded for David DeJesus

Vin Mazzaro was just traded to the Royals in exchange for David DeJesus and LHP Justin Marks. This was a good move by the A's, who have several good starters already (Gio Gonzalez, Dallas Braden, Trevor Cahill and Brett Anderson) -- and they just won the bidding for Hisashi Iwakuma. DeJesus is a solid player who consistently hits for a decent average, plays good outfield defense, and has a little gap-to-gap power. If you might recall, the Giants were considering going after him before he was injured.

This is also a good move for the Royals. Mazzaro could fit well into their rotation for the next few years -- he's a solid rotational arm. And DeJesus is clearly not a part of their plans for the future.
