- David Pinto ran through the San Francisco Giants team offense for 2011. His conclusion? "Then again, this is a team built around pitching, and this lineup will likely score enough to make that pitching successful."
- McC runs through a 25-man roster composed of Giants you've forgotten about. This is just awesome...a trip down memory lane.
- I don't wish to talk much about the Barry Bonds trial; but I liked what Joe Posnanski had to say.
- According to an annual index, the Giants had the fourth-most loyal fan-base in 2011. Personally, I'm not surprised...they did win a World Series after all.
- Obsessive Giants Compulsive wrote up his Top Giants Prospects List.
- Rory Paap makes his Bay City Ball debut with a Miguel Tejada article.
- Similarly, J.T. Jordan makes his debut over at McCovey Chronicles.
- The Mets have now released Oliver Perez and Luis Castillo. That's good -- they understand the concept of a sunk cost. The fact is, Perez and Castillo weren't really capable of helping the Mets in 2011; at least not capable enough to justify retaining them. With Aaron Rowand, the case is similar. I hope Brian Sabean takes note and follows in Alderson's footsteps. It's a painful decision, but it's a wise one too.
Lastly, the preview for the Giants Showtime series has been leaked. Funny, I had almost forgotten about the show. After seeing the trailer, I'm really excited for this, but moreover, I'm excited for the season in general.
Nine days till the Giants' season begins!
