- Triples Alley has a nice post about how the Giants induce the fewest groundballs in the majors (242 GB below average per year) and thus, infield defense isn't as important for the Giants as it would be for a team like the Cardinals. It's comforting to know this, as the left side of the Giants' infield, Miguel Tejada and Pablo Sandoval, has mediocre defensive range.
- Kruk and Kuip are close to signing six-year extensions as the Giants' broadcasting duo.
- Roberto Alomar and Bert Blyleven were named today as the recommended 2011 Hall of Fame class by the Baseball Bloggers Alliance.
